There are six countries that I have only entered and left on foot (Bolivia, Brazil, Liechtenstein, Myanmar, Paraguay and Zambia), two that I have only entered and left by sea (Greenland and Uruguay) and quite a few that I have only entered and left by bus or train. I have no doubt that I really have been to those countries.

I am agnostic on the method of arrival and departure. But the helicopter to Monaco is fun (albeit pricey now as you have to rent the whole bird).
But I am of the view that a country / state / overseas territory et cetera only “counts” if you stay overnight.
Opinions, I am sure, may vary :-)
