To the OP, there is also a later PDX-SFO (AS 1480) departing at 9:48 PM - if SFO is a feasible alternative for you, that could be a backup option as well.
Thank you for that info. I did end up booking the backup WN flight, but I will keep AS1480 in mind as another option. I’m staying right by SJC airport on this trip so I am leaning WN (shudders).

edit: flight now delayed until 2:24PM. Wonderful
edit 2: AS auto rebooked 2nd leg for tomorrow morning 9:00AM PDX-SJC. I still plan on taking my backup WN flight tonight. After I get to SJC I will cancel the 2nd leg, and will then request AS give me flight credit equivalent to the cost of the WN ticket.
