I suppose they are celebrating that they finally could eliminate the little yellow square as, if I recall directly, they basically believe that Ryanair have once and for all ruined the combination of blue and yellow in aviation as people now supposedly associate yellow with cheapness.
Now, there is a lot to be said about LH acting cheaply despite its high fares, but let's leave that to other threads on FT 😉.
