This is what you get when credit cards become dominant. Eventually you need to make a credit card point worth less...
Personally, I've never found Hyatt's "earn and burn" to be particularly compelling, especially with no cashback options. It's the elite benefits and milestones that make it all worthwhile. But Hyatt is obviously aware that pure dynamic pricing would be suicidal.
