I've actually found Marriott still has good value with dynamic sometimes, other times terrible.

The only thing that'll keep me at Hyatt is the guaranteed free suites. That saves me a lot of money a yr. I'm checking into a park Hyatt delxue suite tonight from a TSU. $1200 USD vs standard room of $350 so I'm saving $900 a night. That's a lot of money for me and I probably would've paid for the suite.

But unless I'm getting suites, there's no point to stay on the hamster wheel.

Marriott in the locations where I go still does a decent breakfast and lounge. So major difference for me is guaranteed suites. Without those, no point in hamster wheel

But yes there obviously nothing good in the changes. I'm surprised Hyatt didn't throw some sort of bone at the same time.

If I was a us based Hyatt, I'd be out immediately.
It's ironic because it's true that better value might actually come from literally dynamic instead of this garbage pseudo effective dynamic. I actually get pretty good value from IHG awards pretty regularly...yeah sure there is never any "OMGLOLBBQ 20cpp PHK!!!" that is so popular online now, but I can often get solid increased value from IHG redemptions.
