KLM suspending flights to Israel as of March 1st 2026
Haaretz newspaper, just now:
Dutch airline KLM announced Wednesday evening that it will suspend its Tel Aviv-Amsterdam flights starting March 1.
In a notice sent to passengers regarding a flight scheduled to depart Israel on March 6, the airline said the suspension was due to "commercial and operational considerations," with the carrier saying it was not feasible to operate the flights.
The announcement comes amid the possibility of a U.S. strike on Iran and concerns over how Iran might respond, including in relation to Israel. After the outbreak of war between Israel and Iran in June 2025, Israeli airspace was closed to flights, and later Israeli airlines operated evacuation flights for Israelis stranded abroad.
