PSA - Several websites (and Chat GPT

) said that the lounge would waive the 3 hour entry rule on a layover. Well, sadly, today I was turned away twice

Once was 8 hrs before my next flight, I said that it was a layover and asked if the front desk could check with the manager. They both said come back 3 hours before your next flight. Blah, it's frustrating that the information on the internet says Chase confirmed they would waive the 3 hour rule on layovers, but apparently they've changed it.
Then, after deciding to try again later in the day, I had thought 3 hours before boarding time was the rule and I came back about 2.5 hours before boarding time but 3.5 hours before departure time. They told me no entry yet, and to go wait at Dunkin' Donuts for half an hour and they couldn't let me in for the extra 30 minutes.
Luckily some backups were available since we were flying in business and I have AA Exec Platinum. In the morning AA let us into the AA Flagship Lounge where it was nice and quiet for over 3 hours. When we got turned away from Chase Sapphire Lounge the 2nd time, we went to the British Airways lounge until our flight to Zurich on AA.
Now looking forward to cancelling my CSR at the end of the first year!
