Much of the high fares out there right now are due to World Cup 26 hosted in NA. Many airlines/hotels are keeping rates high currently in anticipation of "hoped for" massive demand. This is especially true in the US host cities like SF. I bought all of my International tickets for next summer before the teams were announced on 5 december. I am glad I did. That pricing pattern above aligns completely with WC dates, 11 june - 19 july.
They finally released one seat at the lower fare buckets on some of these days.
I was looking at the fare rules and saw some interesting terms, including a 10,000 USD surcharge per direction for certain dates:
