In terms of status benefits I actually find oneworld subpar to Star Alliance because Sapphire does not grant fast track access (only some airlines give discretionary fast track e.g. at their hubs) while Gold/SEN does.
*G is the top tier in *A while OWS is not.(yes, I know that some airlines have their own higher status, like HON, but to everyone else it's just *G. Just as AY Lumo is just OWE for the rest of the world)
