Whether it is an award ticket or not does not matter. What matters is the flight and how consistent Ethiopian is on sending an A35* with the 1-2-1 Saffran on that flight. The 10AM IAD flight is very consistent. All A35Ks have Saffran but only some of the A359s, but historically they send the A359 with Saffran 97 percent of the time. They have never sent the 787/777s on that route since I started monitoring it.
