I heard exactly the same- no decrease in Gold or GGL members expected even without any discretionary extensions.
Count me as surprised as BA apparently are, although I think it finally dispels any myth that the perks of status levels might improve or that the lounges might be quieter.
Basically: if you are spending £20k to be Gold or £40k to retain GGL, make sure you are happy with
everything as it currently is.
