Coming to the end of the GGL Train after many years but as GfL I’m quite cool with it. My job role has changed and I travel a lot less and since we bought the campervan I’m finding much more solace in getting away in the van for a long weekend when previously I might have flown somewhere.

Significant amount of Avios to burn through so Asia trip from tomorrow then a multi carrier reward later in the year - then enough for another multi carrier for myself and Mrs Our_Kid.

It has been fun and a right laugh over the years - work travel was tough going being away weeks at a time and taking convoluted routes (much to the chagrin of the work TA) to rack up the TPs. Ironically with the new earnings I could have just made my life so much easier with the corporate fully flex J fares!

Personal trips included Babybus twice (including a JFK bound mini-do - if you know you know!) all four main Hawaiian islands (there should be a FT badge for that) and of course the UL shuttle AUH-CGK!!

So I’ve had fun, definitely gamed the system and enjoyed it immensely. Times change just as much as life does *gets van keys*.
