Similar situation for me this week, did you cancel before the credit posted and if so, did Amex pay-out?
Awhile back, I canceled a card before a Dell credit posted on a Biz Plat based on DPs that the credit will still come through even after card closure and it did (but obviously can't make any promises here, just providing past experience).
