A $600 resort ($800 with California pricing) with a $500 food credit
I would put this with other chain hotels that I enjoyed, such as the Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain and JW Marriott Camelback (posted reviews in the threads). It's not worth the rack rate.

Booked for 45k Hyatt points (Peak Cat 8), found two nights together. Have to keep refreshing as sometimes more appears sporadically, alerts I set up never triggered. It looks like there's more availability for two nights rather than one.
Booked standard room, upgraded to a room with a fireplace (no status). All of the room categories look pretty similar, the larger ones have an outdoor hot tub or hammock. Would be fine with a standard room though the fireplace is nice.

The best part of the stay was the food. Everything was genuinely delicious. Personally I would prefer to stay here for two nights over one simply to try more dishes. You can order an additional entree at dinner for an extra $30 (plus tax, 22% service) which is a good deal. Activities were pretty good too.

Re: car charging, there is complimentary charging if you valet or you can use the plugs near the Sur House. There are no plugs in self parking. There is a Tesla supercharger at the entrance of the property.
