I just saw Alila post some strange messaging on a FB reel. It basically explained that the Lagoon side of the resort is more oriented for adults and the resort isn't centered around kids, but the beach areas is more for families and kids.
So for solo adult travelers or anyone trying to relax that doesn't have a family, we are supposed to stay at the lagoon side? This messaging all seems so strange. I had booked for November in a studio beach suite, now I am thinking maybe I need to change that.
Also it seems like they have still not updated the pictures on line for any of the rooms. Does every room come with a butler? I didn't love that at the St. Regis. All we did was hang at the beach and then he expected a tip at the end for basically nothing. Any way you can opt out of Butler service? I stayed at Banyan Tree Mayakoba last year and didn't have a butler.
I am following this and hopefully the resort gets finished soon and they can start refining all the details!
