I'm trying to see the difference between what was originally told to you, and what eventually happened.

It seems in both instances you were told to buy a Y ticket, upgrade it with voucher 1, and then use voucher 2 to buy a companion voucher in the upgraded class. So what's the differenvce in the taxes you were first told to pay v the taxes you ended up paying?
