TAROM canceled my flight – refusing rebooking under EU261
TAROM canceled my flight in May. More precisely, they moved my departure 24 hours earlier, which is not possible for me.
On the day I originally booked, TAROM no longer operates any flights from my departure airport. They are refusing to rebook me and are only offering a refund if I cancel.
Am I correct in insisting that they rebook me on another airline? Under EU Regulation 261/2004, my understanding is that I am entitled to re-routing on my chosen travel date, even if that means placing me on a different carrier.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation with TAROM? Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
