Yes… this and ATC at most busy airports limit the rate of climb to keep its performance roughly in line with the other planes.
Take ATL-TPA. The 757 sits at the same low cruise altitude (31-35k feet) and sits there for the same amount of time as a 737.
Anyway, I’m not asking why DL flies 757s… a poster above said they go out of their way to fly a 757 over other planes. It’s a fine plane, don’t get me wrong. But from a customer experience point of view, I don’t see how it’s any different than any other narrow body Boeing.
PS, I do get why someone would seek out a 747 or an a380. There’s novelty there with the upper deck in addition to it being a widebody.
