On board, in the FAs do the forced commercial there is a line about paying for the (explorer) card with miles. Can you do that?

As with others, I can't see any benefit for GS other than reduced cost for award tickets that will become increasingly expensive anyway. Now, a credit card that came with a "skip the line" option in PL restaurants and a reversion to being able to force a companion upgrade for an entire route - that would be worth it!
