I just followed up again. The rep was helpful but no progress has been made. The rep noted that the ticket was indeed filed and supposedly they are awaiting an email response from the actual hotel. Rep offered to call hotel again, which was done but the Front Desk person connected the rep to a line that went to voice mail. Rep told me that there were additional notes that I was inquiring about the refund. Rep told me that hopefully I will get my refund soon.
I said that I will wait a few weeks but if there is no progress and it gets close to the dispute deadline, I'm going to dispute both the Chase Travel and the hotel charge which hopefully will force them to do something.
I'll just repeat that I will NEVER use Chase Travel to book hotels except to try to capture the hotel credit and/or the Edit credits...
I received an email February 22 that my refund was processed. Now I'm curious if they clawback the extra UR for the $40 something charged on Chase Travel or if they claw it back at the 3x hotel rate that I got for the hotel charge.
