This thread reminding me I had an existing app in for the JPM Amex Plat card. I will admit that I did very little research on the card before applying.

I got an advertisement for the card and applied. I remembered it staying you had to be a customer of an eligible JPM service or or E*Trade service. I had an E*Trade account but didn’t really use it. Well, I got a rejection letter so I called. The person on the call said this happens a lot and said he just needed my E*Trade account info and would send it up for review as they wouldn’t be able to see it the way I applied. I asked what specifically was an eligible account type etc. He said just having E*Trade should be eligible. It has been a couple of weeks and I haven’t gotten any word, so guessing that cat was not correct. Glad I saw this thread. Obviously, I should have consulted the better informed crowd here. ​​​​​​​
