Got a failure at the last screen after the T&C confirmation screen on an AA redemption last night. A red banner popped up said verification failed that was AFTER entering the verification code (else the T&C screen would not show up I believe). There was a message basically said although the phone verification is submitted, our system has issues to verify it. It will take up to 72 hours to process. blah blah. I accidentally changed screen before taking a screen shot.

The usual emails coming with the redemption are out of sequence. Usually there are 3 emails - 1st is to confirm the mobile verification is successful, 2nd is Redemption Confirmation, 3rd is the Congrat with the redemption details. Last night the Mobile Verification email came after the Redemption Confirmation. I hope that is why the error message is triggered.

Despite the error message 100pts are deducted and the award activity shows the redemption is pending. Oddly last week's 25pts redemption for 500 miles redeemed on a Sunday also shows pending but AA posted it on Wed. I did the 25pts redemption to test if redemption on Sunday would miss the batch processing deadline or not. When redeemed on Sat AA always shows the miles on Tue with the receiving date on Mon and Posting date. Last Sun redemption AA showed received on Mon posted on Wed. So Sunday redemption works as long as it is not in the late evening, I guess.

On another note last night at one point none of the survey link worked. Every single one led to a screen showing system error. It resumed to normalcy 30 min later. I thought about to wait till Sunday to redeem after the system was stabilized. But since I was able to successfully do a 1pt survey I figured the system went back to normal so went ahead to redeem. Alas, I will know on coming Tue whether the miles posted or I have to open a ticket with eRewards!
