The pilots announcement came at 14:00 that we were ready to go but they were still loading into the cargo bays and looking out of the window I could see that they were faffing around with the tins moving two from the front of the plane to the back.
It was probably another 10 minutes before the cargo doors were closed and we pushed back and another five minutes before we were rolling on our way to the runway. It’s a pretty short Taxi here in Berlin and there was absolutely no queueing, we were straight to the runway and in the air by 14:20.
10 minutes into the flight the water and biscuits were distributed and at least it’s nice to see they’re no longer serving those awful generic biscuits have gone back to Walkers.
Surprise, surprise, the in flight Wi-Fi is not working again. The first job once I reach the lounge is going to be the standard complaint to BA. and let’s see whether we get 5000 or 10,000 Avios this time.
The rest of the flight passed innocuously and we have just landed at Heathrow at 15:10 and are trundling around the airport.
My bag is checked through to Newcastle so I do not need to worry about reclaim, I can head straight out and back in via the first wing.
