Time the upgrade cleared or position on waitlist if didn't clear: Did not clear. Gate agent was selling upgrades all the way to boarding. I was top in line and in speaking with gate agent for passport verification about 5 minutes before boarding. Passenger comes up and asks if he can buy an upgrade. Gate agent says yes. I asked if the policy changed, as there were dozens of people on the waitlist, and boarding was just beginning. She shrugged her shoulders and sold him two upgrades. On board I saw him and his +1 take seats 3A and 2F, and the same agent came on and said she charged him $70 each for the two upgrades. Seems like shenanigans are back. Makes this Titanium sad for me, and all the others on the upgrade list. Thanks for listening. Yes, I sent a note into AS.
