Booked for a flight to JFK from LHR on Feb 22 departing at 2:10pm. Got an email on Feb 21 at 8pm that the flight has been canceled. Only some flights have been cancelled to JFK on Feb 22. Called, No space on any BA flights, and they claimed there were no other flights with space on other airlines. I said including United, Delta, Virgin Atlantic, American? I saw availability on United to EWR, and said why not just switch to EWR? He said the system doesn't allow him to change a destination for a non-BA flight. He was able to find a jetblue flight departing Feb 22 at 12:20pm. Am I still eligible for compensation despite the departure time only being moved up by around 2 hours.
