So. Kinda unrelated but then related. I bought a WN ticket with a flight credit then topped off with my Amex plat $158. (WN was not selected. This was just a normal flight buy). I used my BOA PRE to buy upgrades on said flight to get the flight credits on that card. (which worked fine). I then had to cancel the flight for real reasons, by southwest credited my upgrades back to the platinum. I.e. not the original form of payment. Makes me wonder if you can buy flight credits with the platinum then remove the credit card from your profile, add another, then credit them back over there. Avoiding the chargeback on your platinum account. I’ll try this when I get some time.
