Takeoff was around ten minutes late and once the seat belt lights were off the crew quickly took food and drink orders and handed out hot towels.

Only 3 star wars on the IFE, all of which I have seen yesterday, so it’s Fast X to snooze to today.

They may have been quick at taking the drinks order but unfortunately that speed didn’t translate into actually delivery a drink, it took well nearly half an hour and eventually drinks were delivered simultaneously with the starters.



The starters made their way back to the galley and the main course was delivered. Rice, braised lamb, and baked beans, definitely not a combination I’ve ever seen before. The lamb was actually pretty good.




The champagne top up I asked for when the main course was delivered never appeared and I had to remind her when she cleared the tray table No further reminders were necessary thereafter, it was a very proactive champagne service for the rest of the flight

At 14:00 we had the standard ‘stow your junk for landing’ announcements and we were on our way down to Berlin Airport. It looks like we have made up the small delay in the air and, ATC willing, may even arrive a few minutes early.

On the ground at 13:16 and supposedly a 4 minute taxi so 10 minutes early arrival, not bad.
