But we do need to get visas for countries such as Vietnam? And yes, I've found ChatGPT inaccurate on many occasions.
The easiest way to look at this is detach the APEC card from the visa requirements. The US issued APEC card is nothing more than your priority lane access, while you will still need to apply for and have visas in place for any country that requires them for your intended visit purpose. The card has no affect on the visa.

For the visa requirements, I would use Timatic or the country's consular website, not ChatGPT.
