LOL. You are correct. I called and was on hold for an hour. Finally got someone on the line, she first suggested for me to send in a picture of the passport so the reservation will be linked to the Air China profile. Then she said why not just go to the airport. Since I sensed that she is strongly against doing the work, I figured out that it is better to let it be.
