We are an audience here with some members who are predisposed to interpret everything that UA does in the worst possible light. Normal people aren't scrutinizing UA's font choices or imagery background pantone numbers.
I think most people don't recognize anything different about the logos and for the few who do, they won't know what the 100 years part means.
