I got the jumpseat landing once as a teenager in the 80s CDG-YUL 747-Combi, friend of the family was the head of Air Canada ops at CDG at the time. What a thrill

It was really cool to visit the crew rest areas on the 773ER last year, I talk to the flight crew most of the time (when they are not busy obviously) and made the joke when the relief pilot came out that he was defrosting. The captain found that very funny and asked me if I wanted to visit, you should have seen the FAs face. I love the little interactions I have with the crew when I can, they are always great ambassadors for the company and enjoy talking to plane nerds such as myself.
100%. I don't really sleep of flights and I often find myself in the rear galley in the middle of the night chatting with crew (being careful not to impose or imede their work). I've gotten a lot of really cool information on places to visit and a lot of off the books perks.

I've also spent time sitting next to off dutly pilots, one of which explained to me how to perfectly flare a 787 by 'putting the hat on the little guy' in the HUD.

A lot of crew are also plane nerds and it's fun to interact with them.
