Day trip to Kurashiki and Onomichi with a ride (or two) on the Hello Kitty Shinkansen.

08:20 Meet at Hiroshima Station Shinkansen gates (see post #230)
08:40 Leave Hiroshima Station platform 13 on Kodama #942 (Hello Kitty Shinkansen)
09:41 Arrive Shin-Kurashiki
Change to Sanyo Line to Kurashiki arriving at 10:11.
Sightseeing in Kurashiki, including Bikan Historical Quarter and Ohashi Residence.




12:21 Leave Kurashiki by Sanyo Line for Shin-Kurashiki (2 stops)
13:02 Leave Shin-Kurashiki platform 1 on Kodama #949 (Hello Kitty Shinkansen) arriving Shin-Onomichi at 13:23.

Bus to Senkoji Temple Ropeway and visit Senkoji Temple. Walk down via “Cat Alley”.


Sanyo Line from Onomichi to Fukuyama or Mihara (depending on timing). Sanyo Shinkansen from Fukuyama or Mihara back to Hiroshima.
