Although from a maths point of view... If you value the points at the same price Marriott sells them for, that's a $22.50 return for one night stays on top of property spend. In Bali you can constantly get fairfield or four points for $40-$50 a night so you could just go back and fourth between 2 properties and still trigger the 2500 points bonus on top of your spend every night.
Ah, but unless you've lifetime status, you'd (might) still be wanting to earn EQNs to sustain your current status level or go higher. Yes, points is points which too are good for more stays, but stays/nights build your status - assuming you'd still want to be at a level within Bonvoy.
Unless, you're going to hotel hop anyway, so then go for it.
