Update. I wrote to My Hyatt Concierge saying I was disappointed, that all stays to date had credited. I didn't challenge, I didn't argue, I only commented. Today, I got a note from her backup who said they had looked at it again and had given me a night credit.
Glad they did the right thing. FHR is not a wholesale rate.
To me though the initial reaction is typical of the Marriot-izing of Hyatt cs. It's gone so far downhill over the past 2 years - auto-backing the property over the guest.
