I am so very glad that I am no longer a road warrior and no longer fly out of a “captive” airline hub. I had a UA branded credit card for over a decade, but once I saw the future of how UA - and all the other airlines - were becoming credit card companies that happened to also operate an airline, I dumped the UA card and liquidated my substantial amount of miles as soon as I could. Airlines love to push their “loyalty” programs on those customers who are gullible enough to fall for the slick marketing that these programs represent. I’m not playing their game.
