They changed it so that you can provide a credit card number when you check-in in the app. My recent experiences in Boston have actually been that it's 5-10 people per flight.

I think it's definitely going to happen and B6 will update their marketing material soon. It seems likely that they match the Blue Basic earning rate (2 points per dollar), but they may limit it in some way (e.g. to elites/cardholders) to avoid a situation where a non-status passenger earns on B6 but not UA.
