Received an email today saying that starting on 24 Feb 2026, all BA flights out of LAX would be operated from Terminal 4 West instead of the Tom Bradley International terminal (TBIT). Terminal 4 at LAX has traditionally been occupied by American Airlines, so I'm wondering what might have prompted the change in departure terminals, and also whether check-in will also be at T4W instead of TBIT? Only TBIT has the capacity to handle Boeing 380s, so this would seem to indicate the end of BA 380s being used into / out of LAX...
