When we get search functionality back, do a search on the topic. There was a thread here about 2 years ago with a lot of complaining about franchise locations.

I don't understand why Hertz can't say - in their contracts with the franchisee - that the location must honor programs, policies, processes, etc. of Hertz or else they are no longer a Hertz.

I have no choice but to rent from Hertz when on company business and with cars available. I really do not mind, other than the boring selection Hertz has. However, when a PC member is renting, these franchise locations do not really care and their attitude shows this, especially when cars are not available. Do these franchise locations realize that I will probably be back and that treating me like crap does not bode well for future business. I have been known to avoid a location that has treated me like crap.
