This is somewhat MR related, hoping I can ask in this fairly active thread.

- Would it be too risky, "operationally," to fly on the last day of my qualifying year? Anything beyond the normal, "flights may get cancelled due to strike, weather, or the pilot ate a big lunch?" Such as 'beware of the afternoon flights to Crete, they cancel a lot."
- Or risky, "technologically?" Assuming everything goes correctly, would the IT mess up? Because both tier miles and status qualification are seemingly processed in batches, possibly overnight, depending on which runs first may cause things to get quite broken.
I found a very fitting itinerary and fare on the last day of my qualifying year.
Surely some have also done this on the last day?
