It doesn't matter if it is a rare occurrence for the crew to forget amenity bags or pyjamas because the OP may never fly F again - the advice is to ask for everything to reduce the risk they don't provide them, albeit a very small risk.
if after a while maybe and if it appears it has been forgotten - which is rare. But I wouldn’t get on and start asking for everything - that isn’t the advice.
