Check your travel itinerary on Timatic. If you don't see a problem I don't think you'll have an issue. In case they don't let you to board insist on checking Timatic together.

My wife and I flew to many places with one way tickets. The riskiest was Canada with a return to another country with another carrier in a very short time during 1M challenge.

If I'm not mistaken those denied boarding offices are also serving passengers who were denied boarding due to overbooking.
