Have booked a stay here and was hoping to ask a few questions:

1.) Plan on having 1 nice dinner at the hotel - undecided between the Steak House and Lai Ching Heen.
We are not usually Michellin Star eaters as it is not really our scene and somewhat picky so fear is we would leave hungry but given the comparative value to what Michelin Star restaurants can cost elsewhere and would be an easy walk to our room it might be worth the splurge?
Steak house dinner I know we would not leave hungry and would enjoy the meal but might be a forgetful experience vs. a 2 Michelin Star memory and the cost might be not much different.

2.) Related to #1 ; I assume for either option reservations in advance would be required if we want a nice harbor view table around 8 PM (weekday) ?
If reserving should I wait for the hotel to contact me pre-stay or do they not do that?

3.) I booked via a special rate (The Edit through Chase) which similar to AmEx's Fine Hotels and other programs - comes with some perks like free b-fast and a room upgrade if available.
Booked a premium room (one step up from the base Classic Room based on the IHG site) but without a view with the assumption that we would likely get upgraded to the same room type with a Harbor View which is what I really want but thought the list price was too high compared to other Hong Kong hotels I could book. After booking though I noticed on their website that the Studio Suite (without a Harbor View) would be the next level upgrade and the Premium Room Harbor View would be 2 steps above what I booked at least based on cash rates.
I am just guessing that upgrades to more than 1 level are not common (am lowly Platinum with IHG if that matters at all and it is attached to my booking - I can see it in the IHG app).
I might be willing to pay for a Premium Harbor View room upgrade depending on the cost and would also be fine to take a smaller Classic Room (with a Harbor View) instead of the Premium non-view room we booked.
