Get an expert flyer membership and be flexible on both dates and routes. If you’re in the United States and want to go to Europe look on the aa cargo website for all routes to Europe, then search all of them +/- 3 days on EF and set up alerts. It’s a lot of work, but I, in a weird way, enjoy it. I get and use all 6 every year. I further maximize them by applying them to around the world tickets.
