I had a very pleasant stay in late January, paid with my ihg CC. The bill and points posted today and I realized the number of points was a lot less than I was expecting so I checked the CC charge online and sure enough it got coded as “other travel” at 5x vs. IHG at 10x. It got me thinking so I went back to see what had posted for my October 2025 stay and sure enough that one also posted incorrectly at 5x. I’m too lazy to go back any further than October to check previous stays at this hotel but I’m certain these stays were posting correctly up until a certain point, not sure when things got off track. Will try to get this sorted but FYI, does not appear as an isolated incident.
