I've had a few points and a night credit with IHG. I've had in-app features like digital key via Hilton, but never any points. Status benefits are strictly at the discretion of the hotel - I book chain hotels very rarely with BA anyway. There's no harm in them knowing who you are, as it were, but apart from the app functionality if it's supported, don't expect any meaningful benefits and treat any as an unexpected bonus.
