No menu, and only one vegetarian meal between us all, which my partner and I were invited to fight over. In fairness, I earned some brownie points by conceding my claim to it…. and was offered my pick of the for-purchase menu to make up for it. I elected to just skip the main course and made do with the bread roll and Black Forest Gateau.
The choices were both cold, a prawn salad or a beetroot and goats cheese. I assume the previous flight got the same choices and wisely skipped the prawns, accounting for our poor showing on the leftovers. A bit mean of BA - at 1745 I would have hoped for a hot offering.
Food and drinks served from the galley, given the numbers. And several top ups offered of beverages, which was something at least.
BER and in fact all German stations always have had a cold meal, apart from hot breakfast, so there is no downgrade here. Unless you have ordered a vegetarian meal, the vegetarian option is generally less than the non veg option, it used to be 50:50 but this has been changed after continuous feedback. Also Band 1 doesn’t get a menu, just for your reference.
outbound and inbound flights have different offerings so it would have been a different meal being served to BER, unless there was a last minute top up which then sometimes makes it the same meal
