Overall, I think CX does a fine job. And this is a good point.
I keep spending a significant amount on CX because, although I don't like the regional J seats (A330/B773/A321), I like almost everything else about the CX experience as a DM and they significantly outweigh my gripes on the regional hard product. CX does a really fine job for DMs. My toughest decision is just to sort out if I'm going to go for DX / DME (whatever we're calling it!) or stick with regular DM.
And I also never fly regional redeyes, which would be the worst-possible case for a regional swap.
Agree with that, actually the cradle seat are ok for short flights, the old KA J seat were superior to the current product in terms of comfort, I would personally prefer the planes to be fitted with the long haul premium economy with extra legroom rather than the current regional J, more comfortable in my opinion on short flights with better storage
