Award redemption stays, including Cash + Points Awards, Free Night Awards, or a Points redemption stay, are not eligible for the promotion.
If one stays at brand x using points which is not included to start with, then comes back to the same brand for a second stay this time using cash, the second stay will be included – if that is your question
