So Alaska doesn’t let you put your AA number into an award booking. It’s hardcoded to only allow Atmos numbers. But it doesn’t require one. Set yourself up as another traveler in your Alaska account with no loyalty number. Then, after booking the ticket, you may be able to add your AA number on the AA website or by asking AA customer service. And then you can presumably, thanks to your AA status, select the extended legroom seat.
Your answer wasn't clear about which airline's plane you were talking about booking.
I know I have been able add my AA account number to Alaska plane flights, at least previous to the change to Atmos, since I've already done that several times before, to get extended legroom seats on Alaska planes.
And Alaska shows me as Regular, so I presume that means I don't have any status there.
But my question was: Since Alaska, at least currently, does not serve CLT airport, is there any way I can use Atmos Rewards
on AA planes while still being able to get an extended room seat
on that AA plane due to my AA elite status? Is that what you were describing, or were you describing booking an Alaska plane flight?
Thanks.
