The triple pin connector where the upper smaller pin is to power the headphones so not needed.

I’ve used the dual pin adapter with an Amazon version of Airfly and it worked perfectly. Seen it mentioned you can use only one of the 2 ports but I’ve never tried it, I always have the dual pin adapter with me.
